In many rural communities across Nigeria we work, children are eager to learn but lack the basic materials needed to succeed. At the same time, access to financial tools and knowledge about blockchain remains limited—especially among youth. Helpers Foundation team believed that education remains the best tool to inform the public about cryptocurrency's impact because it helps people make informed decisions, avoid scams, and understand the broader economic and technological implications. Education helps demystify concepts like blockchain, decentralization, and smart contract. Education helps the public grasp how these changes effects jobs, businesses, and financial stability. <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmSmSUSgHKi7pjQicnk6yUUPgrseEAKdc6rcbtVFnNmMTL"><h2>Why Cryptocurrency education for young people is important</h2> <img src="https://giveth.mypinata.cloud/ipfs/QmerFf14iTWwaf3aHVJ5eWnaCSTdm5HEbqfBmdJUiBPmeA">Awareness and understanding- Many people still do not fully grasp how cryptocurrencies work, their benefits, and risks. The program hope to host events for young people and different stakeholders to educate them on how crypto can be used for public good. This project aims to educate youth about cryptocurrency and how it can be used for public goods. Educating young people on overview of the history of the first cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, Celo network, Solana, Base, Arbitrum network, Stellar, Ethereum and how it came to be the most valued digital asset. Educating young people, the concept of buying and selling it, as well as the risks and rewards of investing in cryptocurrency and stay away from financial fraud. Supporting this initiative will help to increase youths understanding about cryptocurrencies. How to encourage more people to start accepting cryptoDue to fraudulent activities being committed by some of the crypto user, government and parents discouraged their youth and citizens from using cryptocurrency. Proper education on the use of crypto, and how it can be used for public good, will encourage those who is against cryptocurrency to have a rethink of their action against it.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;At Helpers Social Development Foundation, we believed that lasting change happened when children and youths have access to their social needs. We are accepting cryptocurrencies because we believed that crypto will help us to restore and build abandoned public institutions. <h2>What Helpers Foundation have achieved with cryptocurrency donations</h2> With the help of our crypto donors, we established three (3) nursery and primary schools in Enugu State with the aim to offer high quality free and low-cost education and mentoring to underprivileged children in Nigeria.We believed we can build a system more than the government because we know our people's needs and how to solve them. Why not support our initiative? What we have achieved through donations received.<ol><li>We Built toilet facilities in public schools using open defecation. We constructed the toilet facility with the aim to end open defecation in those schools in order to prevent children and teachers from contracting diseases while learning.</li><li>Classroom building ongoing project.</li><li>Solar-powered classroom</li><li>Constructed solar powered clean water in schools.</li><li>Distribution of free school supplies in public schools to prevent underprivileged children from missing or dropping out of school.</li><li>we established Helpers Foundation Nursery and primary school in the year 2021 in the Oji-River area of Enugu State with the aim to offer free education and mentoring to underprivileged children in Oji-River.</li><li>Child marriage and sexual abuse prevention campaign and more.</li></ol> Challenges affecting children in NigeriaThis is truly a trying time for underprivileged Nigerians as many people have lost their jobs due to Covid-pandemic and economic hardship. 18.5 million children dropped out of school, and 10.5 million are girls, they struggle daily for not having the tools needed to help them in school. Poverty regardless of level is linked to reduced academic achievement. Students who live in poverty come to school every day without the proper tools for success, as a result, they are commonly behind their classmates physically, socially, and emotionally. Help us to reach out to millions of out-of-school children. With your donations, more children will be reached. Better funding for out-of-school children's education will help to reach out to those government left behind.&nbsp;Donating for children's basic needs, like education, school food programs, classroom building, classroom funding, mentoring programs for children, healthcare support at school, and supplies.&nbsp; &nbsp;This initiative will educate young people on the important of cryptocurrency and how it can be used to sponsor their education and fund other public goods. Accelerating youth knowledge of technology and financial literacy while building leaders, innovators, and creators for a decentralized future.&nbsp;&nbsp;At the end of the event, all the participants will be invited on a day event to guide them to set up crypto wallet address. Funds will in Arbitrum network, Ethereum etc will be sent to the wallet address of all the participant to sponsor their initiatives.
